Heath von Hemer is an incredible 10 month old coated German Shepherd. Young, handsome, smart -- Heath is exactly what many Shepherd lovers look for.  Heath is not for any ordinary owner, however,  he’s looking for someone who just might be as smart as he is and also has a good grip.  Like most German Shepherds at his young age, he’s got plenty of energy to go up and down around several blocks.  He’s still learning the limits of his leash and can be a bit bossy when vocalizing his desire to get going.  However, he’s eager to please and enjoys the interaction with you as much as he does getting out.  Although fairly large and growing, Heath is still very much a puppy in spirit and personality.  He enjoys romping with other dogs but can be a bit much for some, as he is still figuring out the finer points in dog etiquette.  Heath’s philosophy in life is, “Let’s see what will happen if I do this…” so he will need someone ready to hone their puppy reflexes to stay a step ahead.  Westside’s trainer sees nothing but potential in Heath with the right leader, who will engage him often and teach him that boundaries are just another way to gain praise and reward.  If you know an investment in time with a good Shepherd is rewarded with many more years of a great Shepherd, Heath just might be the boy for you.
